Marietta Rosalla Braun, 81, of Adams, Minn., died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Rochester Methodist Hospital.

Marietta was born on May 18, 1931, in Dodge County, Minn., to Henry and Catherine (Wittrock) Janning. Marietta attended school in Blooming Prairie. On June 27, 1950, she married Daniel Braun at St. Columbanus Catholic Church in Blooming Prairie.

In addition to being a housewife, Marietta worked at Libby’s for 20 years, and also worked as a kitchen helper at the high school and a waitress at the Pine Room. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart Rosary Council. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, gardening, golf, playing cards, bingo, quilting, antiquing and puzzles.

Marietta was preceded in death by her parents, son Gary, six brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Braun of Adams, Minn.; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Jane Braun, St. Paul, Minn., Carol Braun, Stewartville, Minn., Kevin and Lori Braun, Goodyear, Ariz.; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley & Rod Miller, LeRoy, Minn., Laurie & Jerry Reich, Rochester, Minn.; grandchildren, Becky, Holly, Natalie, Ashley, Trevor, Brandy, Nick, Jodi, Kelly, Katie and Sarah; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Herbert Janning, Austin, Minn.; nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Adams, with Father Thomas Loomis officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Adams. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour before the service. There will be a 9:45 a.m. Rosary Service at the church on Wednesday. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of services.
