Julia V. Waldron, age 88 of Stewartville, formerly of Austin, Minn., died Friday evening, Sept. 21, 2012, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

She was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Lanesboro, Minn. the daughter of John and Betsy (Knutson) Waller.

Julia made Austin her home for over 70 years. On Oct. 31, 1942, Julia was united in marriage to Dwight Waldron in Lancaster, Mo. She was member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church. She enjoyed fishing and being on the water, painting and tending to her flower garden. Dwight died on Nov. 27, 2005.

Survivors include a son: Steven (Catherine) Waldron of Eden Prairie, Minn.; two granddaughters: Kelley (Michael) Monasterio of Medina, Ohio and Jessica Waldron of Eden Prairie, Minn.; two great grandchildren: Morgan and Avery Monasterio; a sister-in-law: Linda Waller of Austin and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dwight; six sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. The Worlein Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials are preferred to the family.
