Police are looking for a suspect after an Austin man was allegedly attacked on the trails behind Austin Utilities Friday morning.
According to the police report, the 25-year-old victim was walking home from Quality Pork Producers when someone allegedly attacked him and took his belongings. The victim said the suspect was 6 feet tall, black, thin, dressed in black and possibly in his 20s. While the alleged thief made off with belongings of little value, the suspect also put the victim in a choke hold, the victim said. The victim complained of neck pain but did not need medical attention, according to the report.
Austin Police Capt. Dave McKichan urges people to walk in groups when on the trails.
