Dennis Felt, 63, of Austin, Minn., died Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Dennis was born Oct. 14, 1948, in Faribault, Minn., to Floyd and Lorraine (Spitzack) Felt. After moving to Austin at age 6, he attended Austin Public Schools and graduated from Austin High School in 1967. Dennis served in the Vietnam War and was employed by Wagner Construction in Austin for more than 30 years. A member of the VFW, Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, playing cards, gardening, and telling stories. He had a big heart.

Survivors include his sons Duane (Lorraine) Felt of Adams, Minn., and Dean Felt of Lake Mills, Iowa; granddaughter, Amanda Hocking of Austin; two brothers, Floyd ‘Fluffy’ (Brenda) Felt of Stewartville, Minn., and Rueben (Sharon) Felt of Kenyon, Minn.; two sisters Rose (Loren) Speer of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Diana (David) Moon of Austin; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lorraine.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with the Rev. William Odermann officiating.
