City’s offices, services limited over holiday

As Austin residents enjoy Monday’s national holiday, they can expect limited access to certain city offices and services for the day.
The Public Works, Park and Rec and City Hall offices will all be closed on Labor Day, as will the Austin Public Library. At the Law Enforcement Center, the lobby will be closed but a phone in the entryway will be available that connects to dispatchers.
The post office on First Avenue will be closed for the day, too, but residents looking for postal services can still find a location open at Hy-Vee on the north end of town. Carriers will not pick up mail for delivery on that day.
The Austin Municipal Pool has closed for the year.
