Delores “Dee” Ann Conell, 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior Aug. 12, 2012.

Dee was a nurse her entire career with her last 34 years of service as a school nurse for USD 489 in Hays, Kan. Her profession was nursing but her passion was her six grandsons. She was a 44-year member of MOPS as an adviser/mentor and parish nurse for Messiah Lutheran Church in Hays, Kan.

Dee is survived by her sons, Dan and his wife Jane Conell of Wichita, Kan., and Dana and his wife Tracy Conell of Gilbert, Ariz.; a daughter, Dawn and her husband Dwayne Spinler of Thornton, Colo.; a brother, David and his wife Karen Wolff of Austin; grandchildren, Jason and Andrew Conell, Darrell Spinler, Nathan, Garrett and Carson Conell.

Her life was blessed with numerous friends and relatives. Visitation with family present will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, both at Messiah Lutheran Church in Hays, Kan. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Myrtle. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, 2000 Main Street, Hays, KS 67601.
