The Austin Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Downtown Crazy Day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday. The event, which brings local businesses together in one place for people to peruse, will be on Main Street from First to Fourth avenues.

“Businesses from throughout the community are invited to come down and set up tables,” said Sandy Forstner, executive director of the Chamber. “It’s kind of a summer clearance thing.”

Forstner said he didn’t have an estimate of how many businesses were planning on participating. Those interested in setting up a table do not need to register in advance.
