A report of an Austin woman who went missing on Monday evening was a misunderstanding, according to family members and the Austin Police Department.

Austin police received a report 6:30 p.m. that Linda Vilt, 64, had gone missing after leaving her daughter’s home in Albert Lea. Vilt had reportedly turned her phone off and left with no word. As of Wednesday morning Vilt was back in contact with the family.
