Letter: Creation of money is part of freedom

Letter to the Editor
The Declaration of Independence declared our Freedom. We wrote the rules of that Freedom into the Constitution.
One of those freedoms was the authority to create money. We created a mint and a Bureau of Engraving and Printing to serve us. Why does America borrow and enslave itself to debt? Would you borrow if you could create and spend your own money?
Why does America borrow when it has the authority to create money? If you have an answer, please call. Let me hear it.
