Carrie Olivo, 51, of Blooming Prairie, Minn., died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Carrie Jean Ogilvie was born Aug. 16, 1960, in Blue Earth, Minn., to Roger and Leona (Wilson) Ogilvie. She attended school in Blue Earth. On Aug. 25, 1978, Carrie married Joseph Olivo at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth. The couple moved to Blooming Prairie in 1986, where Carrie worked at Prairie Manor Care Center as a dietary aide and cook for 20 years.

Carrie was a member of St. Columbanus Catholic Church in Blooming Prairie. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, being outdoors, camping, gardening, being with friends, spending time with the neighbors and watching her girls play sports. Her job and her co-workers at Prairie Manor were very special to her.

Survivors include her husband Joseph Olivo of Blooming Prairie; daughters Candace (Joseph) Roush of Owatonna, Minn., Katrina (Ryan) Staska of Blooming Prairie, Kristin (Jason Batt) Olivo of Bixby, Minn.; son Tyler Olivo of Blooming Prairie; father Roger Ogilvie of Blue Earth; seven grandchildren, Zoie, Averie and Grady Roush, Bradley and Levi Staska, Alexis Olivo and Landon Olivo-Batt; sisters Carmen Coxworth of Blue Earth, Kim (Brad) Frey of Hastings, Minn., Karen Miller of Blue Earth; brother David Ogilvie of Waseca, Minn. She was preceded in death by her mother Leona Ogilvie and her mother-in-law Isabel Cervantes.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2012, at St. Columbanus Catholic Church in Blooming Prairie with Father Steve Peterson officiating. Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
