The Austin Big Band will be performing at the Spamtastic Expansion Grand Opening Celebration this Saturday. The big band will be performing twice; first from 4:10 to 4:55 p.m., then from around 8 until 9 p.m.

The event is at the Hormel Foods Corporate north office and buses will be loading at the Oak Park Mall in Austin beginning at 3:30 p.m. It will also feature a tour of the Hormel corporate expansion, food vendors, classic cars, performances by Second Edition and Triple Threat, and The Temptations as a headliner. This event is free and open to the public.

Aug. 4: Relay for Life; Austin Bandshell Park; 8-9 p.m.

Aug. 11: Mower County Fair; Fair Square; 4-6:30 p.m.

Sept. 23: Surf Ballroom; Clear Lake, Iowa; 6-10 p.m.

Nov. 21: Thanksgiving Eve dance; Austin American Legion; 8-11 p.m.

Nov. 29: Christmas in the Southwest; Sterling Bank; 5-6 p.m.

Dec. 1: Holiday Cars open house; 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
