ROSE CREEK — The Austin Rotaract will be hosting its fourth annual sand volleyball tournament Saturday at Woody’s Bar in Rose Creek.

The funds raised from the event go to a different international cause each year and this year, all proceeds will be donated to the “POLIO PLUS” initiative founded by Rotary and it’s partners in 1985 with the goal to eliminate polio world wide.

“We feel this is a great cause to support. We are proud to be a small part of making the Polio Plus goal a reality,” said Crystal Andersen, International Service Committee Chair.

“If you are not signed up to play, you can still come out and join in the fun of the many other festivities that will be going on at Woody’s for Rose Creek Fun Days,” Andersen said.

Austin Rotaract is a service organization for young professionals who spend their time volunteering at local community service events.

The group is looking for new members to expand the group. Its meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month at The Coffehouse on Main at 6 p.m.
