Southland students in grades 7-12 who plan to participate in athletics or be a manger or cheerleader during the 2012-2013 sports seasons and needing an updated physical examination can get a free physical at the Adams Clinic Aug. Thursday, Aug. 2 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
It is the one and only day a free physical will be offered at the clinic.
Middle school athletes are asked to have their physical from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and high school athletes are asked to have their physical from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., if possible.
Student athletes must have a physical on file with the Athletic Department before they will be able to participate or practice. A physical must be passed every three years in order to be eligible to participate in sports, cheerleading or managing.
The Adams Area Clinic provides the examination free of charge as a community service.
