Lynne P. Shada, 58, of Austin, Minn., passed away Friday evening, June 1, 2012, at Mayo Health Systems, Austin.

Lynne was born on July 11, 1953, in Austin to Gaylord and Constance (Brooks) Baxter. She was a lifelong Austin area resident and graduated from Austin High School in 1971. She married Robert M. Shada and to this union two children were born. The couple later divorced. Lynne also attended Riverland Community College. Lynne enjoyed working as a data processor at IBI Data in Brownsdale since 1987. She attended Crane Community Chapel and was an avid pool player for many years and also enjoyed playing darts, bowling and horseshoes. Lynne felt volunteering was important and volunteered at the Eagles helping with many benefits and breakfasts and also with the VFW where she helped with many benefits and breakfasts.

Survivors include her two children, son Philip (Amy Woolston) Shada of Madison, S.D. and daughter Jeanette Shada of Austin; four grandchildren, Leticia, Anthonio, Mathias and Selena; six brothers and sisters, Sherry Wells of Austin, Susan Engler of Austin, Michele Morehouse of Austin, Marcy Morehouse of Waldorf, Minn., Lorry (Jeff) Nystrom of Esteline, S.D. and Michael Baxter of Austin; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, co-workers, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and ex-husband Robert Shada.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2012, at the Worlein Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and one hour before the service at the Worlein Funeral Home. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery in Austin. An Eagles Auxiliary Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday evening. The family prefers that memorials be directed to the family.
