Gene R. VanDenover, 90, of Austin, Minn., died Monday, June 18, 2012, at his home after a courageous fight with cancer.

Service: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at First United Methodist Church in Austin with Pastor Marilee Benson officiating.

Visitation: Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Worlein Funeral Home in Austin, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. There will be a Masonic service at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Interment: Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion Post No. 91 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1216.
