Deacon Lynn Adwell prays with children and staff at Christ Episcopal Church’s “Great Bible Reef” vacation bible school for an Air Force chaplain and members of the armed services. Activities at the bible school included making pastor stoles and sending them to Air Force chaplains.

Christ Episcopal Church in Austin is hosting its seventh annual Vacation Bible Camp this week, Monday through Friday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the church.

The theme for this year’s bible camp is “The Great Bible Reef.” Children do crafts, science projects, storytelling and games. They will also complete two service projects.

One project is collecting funds for the Episcopal Church Housing Project. The other is making and sending a pastor’s stole to an Air Force Chaplain.
