The Austin Post 91 baseball season will begin its season June 5 as it opens with a game against Northfield in Dundas at 7 p.m.

Post 91 will play 25 games this summer and its home opener is June 13 against the Rochester Redhawks for a doubleheader that starts at 4 p.m. in Dick Seltz Field.

Austin will lean on its returnees in Marcus Stoulil, Gabe Kasak, Zach Huntley and Zach Wilder and the team will look for some young players to contribute as well.

“With a young team, it is difficult to predict how competitive we will be, but we do have a lot of potential and a fair number of players who can throw,” Post 91 head coach Bob Stratton said. “If the young players can improve as the season progresses, our competitive level will also get better.”

This is the 81st year Post 91 has sponsored the team.
