A 39-year-old man who allegedly had sex with a teenager made his first appearance Tuesday in Mower County Court.

Brian Broulik of Blooming Prairie appeared in court on charges of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. According to the court complaint, authorities discovered that Broulik had sent sexual text messages to the victim and went to the victim’s house when the parents were gone on March 16. Broulik allegedly engaged in sexual activities with the victim and left when he discovered the parents were coming home.

Broulik is held in the Mower County jail on $250,000 bail. His next court appearance is set for June 21. According to the complaint, Broulik is listed as a predatory offender.
