Motorcyclist arrested for hit-and-run injuries

ST. PAUL, Minn. — A motorcyclist has been arrested for hitting and critically injuring a 4-year-old boy who was on his way to his birthday party at a St. Paul park.
Police say the 25-year-old man fled on his motorcycle after striking the child, who was holding his mother’s hand as the family was getting into their vehicle Saturday afternoon.
Family members say Tyrell Baymon underwent surgery for a skull fracture at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare.
St. Paul police say tips from the public and help from other law enforcement agencies led them to a Shakopee hotel Sunday afternoon, where the St. Paul man was arrested.
