The county board will likely know more about the potential Health and Human Services redesign by mid-week.
A group of counties making up the Southeast Minnesota Redesign Project are meeting Monday night. The board is slated to discuss the issue at Tuesday’s board meeting, which begins with Human Services business at 8:30 a.m. and regular business at 9:30 a.m.
Commissioners Tony Bennett and Tim Gabrielson are slated to attend the meeting Monday to learn more about funding options for the potential regional human services, and they could learn more about what counties are looking to move forward with the project.
“We’ll find out a lot more Monday,” Oscarson said.
The board and county staff will also discuss the potential redesign at a 6 p.m. Wednesday meeting on the possibilities of sharing work and providing services in different ways.
While they’ll find out more details that will help shape their decision, Oscarson said board members don’t need to vote on whether to move forward until June.
In other business, the board will also discuss a number of bridge and road projects.
