Austin boys track team takes second at home invite

The Austin boys track and field team finished second at a four-team invite at Larry Gilbertson Track and Field Tuesday.

Austin junior Omot Okello set a season’s best time in the 110-meter hurdles as he won the event in 15.43 seconds and Austin sophomore Andrew Hagan won the shot put with a throw of 43 feet.

The Packers netted 56 points as a team, while Rochester Mayo won the meet with 108 points.
