Vikings blow 9-1 lead on the way to DH loss

The Hayfield baseball team dropped two tough games over the weekend.

The Vikings blew a 9-1 lead and eventually fell 11-10 in their first of two games against Winona Cotter Saturday.

The Vikings lost the second game 3-2 and were out-hit by Cotter 11-2.

“The last out of the game, the Cotter left fielder made a full-extension diving catch to end our hopes,” said head coach Kasey Krekling. “I thought it was for sure down for a hit to tie the game, but he made a great play on the ball.”
