The Izaak Walton League will hold its steak cookout fundraiser, at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The cookout takes place at the Izaak Walton Cabin in Todd Park in Austin.

The event is open to the public, with $12 tickets that are available at the door or by contacting an Ike member. Steak cookouts are the main fundraising events for the Austin Chapter of the Izaak Walton League.

On the menu are a 10-ounce sirloin steak, baked potato, coleslaw, bun and fresh vegetables.

Proceeds will be used to provide scholarships to area youth to attend summer camps at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center near Lanesboro.

Eagle Bluff summer camps give students the opportunity to learn about nature and develop outdoor skills such as canoeing, fishing, and camping. This is the seventh year that Austin Chapter 10 has provided scholarships to Eagle Bluff.

Austin Chapter 10 of the Izaak Walton League is a non-profit conservation organization whose mission is to conserve, maintain, protect, and restore all soil, waters, wildlife, and other natural resources.
