The Austin Bruins came back to town on a high after tying the NAHL Central Division Championship Series 1-1 with an overtime win in Bismarck last Saturday.

Now they’ll have to refocus and try to win the series.

The Bruins (40-20-6 overall) will host Bismarck (48-15-2 overall) for games three and four of the series this Friday and Saturday at 7:05 p.m. in Riverside Arena and Austin head coach Chris Tok said the luster of Joe Siers’ game winning goal in overtime against the Bobcats has worn off a little.

“The momentum of winning in overtime has worn off after this many days without a game,” Tok said. “The spirits of our players are good with an understanding of how hard we worked to get the win (in that game).”

The Bruins have a chance to win the series and move on to the Robertson Cup with two wins, or they could force a game five in Bismarck Monday if they get a split in Austin.

In the first round of the NAHL playoffs, Austin won both of its games at home to clinch the series against Alexandria.

“With our boisterous crowd, it will add to our players passion and desire to win,” Tok said.

Austin will boost to its lineup as Christian Folin, who has committed to Division I University of Massachusets-Lowell, will return to the lineup from injury on Friday.
