BLOOMING PRAIRIE — The Blooming Prairie baseball team bashed 14 hits as they beat Triton (1-1 overall) 14-4 in five innings in their season opener in BP Tuesday.
The Awesome Blossoms (1-0 overall) fell behind 2-0 in the top of the first and went down in order in the bottom of the first, but things drastically changed after that.
“Triton’s pitcher had a good curve ball, so we had them move up in the box a little and they just started hitting the ball well,” BP head coach Paul Peterson said.
Isaiah Toquam picked up the win for BP as he struck out seven.
“Isaiah pitched a real good game,” Peterson said. “He had them off-balanced and was throwing with velocity.”
