A 19-year-old Austin man who allegedly persuaded underage girls to perform sexual acts on him pleaded not guilty Thursday in Mower County Court.
Brayden William Woodworth pleaded not guilty to first-degree sexual conduct with a person younger than 13, fourth degree criminal sexual conduct and indecent exposure. The first two charges are felonies. If convicted, Woodworth could face 30 years in jail and a $40,000 fine.
Woodworth allegedly persuaded three girls, ages 12 to 13, to perform sexually explicit acts on him in exchange for cigarettes on Feb. 25. According to the court complaint, Woodworth also did similar acts on March 2.
After detectives interviewed the victims, Woodworth was arrested and put in the Mower County jail on $100,000 bail. His next court appearance is set for May 25.
