Woman found in Minn. hot tub dies

PLYMOUTH, Minn. — A 52-year-old Nisswa woman is dead after being found in a hot tub at a Twin Cities home.

The Hennepin County sheriff’s office says the woman was found unresponsive in the hot tub in Plymouth around 7:30 p.m. Saturday. She was later pronounced dead.

Authorities say the woman was visiting relatives at the home. The Hennepin County medical examiner’s office identifies the woman as Kari Dayton and says she accidentally drowned.

The sheriff’s office is investigating but says the death does not appear suspicious.
