ADAMS — The Southland girls basketball team beat Saint Charles (8-14 overall, 5-10 Three Rivers) 57-40 in Adams Friday.

The Rebels (17-2 overall, 12-2 Three Rivers) led just 25-19 at the half but went on to lead by as many as 28 in the second half.

“Our press started working and we started making some outside shoots,” Southland head coach Bob Sheehan said.

Lindsey Bottema led Southland with 13 points.
