Riverland women beat Central Lakes

The Riverland women’s basketball team led from the start and went on to beat Central Lakes (8-13 overall, 2-6 MCAC South) 82-42 in Riverland Gym Wednesday.

The Blue Devils (12-11 overall, 3-5 MCAC South) shot 44 percent from the field and 45 percent from the three-point line in the win.

“We played a great offensive game and we did a good job on defense,” RCC head coach Suzy Hebrink said. “We hit a lot of outside shots and that opened up our inside game.”

Rebekah Aase had 21 points, 16 rebounds and two blocks, Sophia Hebrink had 15 points and hit three threes, Ashley Lau had 19 points and four assists.
