KSMQ-TV, the regional PBS television affiliate with studios in Austin, has been selected to host a conference and workshop featuring some of the region’s finest television producers, writers and reporters.

The conference, to be held at KSMQ-TV on Saturday, March 3, is being sponsored by the upper Midwest chapter of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences, a national organization responsible for judging and granting Emmy awards for outstanding television work. The event is open to association members and is expected to draw television producers from across the southern half of Minnesota and northern Iowa.

“We’re excited to have the opportunity to host some of the region’s finest television storytellers here at KSMQ,” said Eric Olson, KSMQ-TV President and CEO. “Some of our own local productions will be featured at the event, and it’s a great way for us to see what others are working on in the region.”

The conference will give regional television production professionals a forum to discuss and show their recent work, discuss the creative process and share best practices for television story construction. There will also be a critiquing session where television production professionals will receive feedback from past Emmy Award winners
