Gay marriage is a concern

We should be concerned about homosexual marriage because it will affect us all. Genesis 2 lays out God’s plan for marriage, one man and one woman. A father and mother are to teach their children how to be a man and a woman and how to relate to their spouse in marriage.
Homosexual marriage mocks God. The Bible makes it clear — homosexuality is sin. As the serpent said to Eve in the garden of Eden, you also might ask, “Did God really say that?” Check it out in Leviticus 18, Romans 1:24-32 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-11. Please note that God does not single out homosexuality but includes it with other sins. It isn’t worse but, like other sin, will bring God’s judgment.
The media are trying to change our perception of homosexuality by presenting it in a positive light. If we are frequently exposed to faulty thinking regarding a sinful behavior we often come to tolerate, accept and even celebrate it. Our consciences become dulled, we lose the ability to discern right from wrong and begin calling evil good and good evil.
It’s easy to see the results of the “sexual revolution” of the 1960s in our society. The attempt to normalize homosexuality and legalize homosexual marriage is one more step in the wrong direction. We will have opportunity in November to support legislation that will keep marriage in Minnesota as God intended… between one man and one woman. Is this homophobia? Is God a homophobe? I think not. God has determined what is best for His creation.
