Dodge County tops Austin girls hockey team

The Austin girls hockey team lost at Dodge County (12-5 overall) by a score of 8-2 Tuesday.
The Packers (7-8 overall) attempted just 13 shots, while the Wildcats fired off 41 shots on goal.
“It was a physical game and they were much bigger and faster,” Austin head coach Denny Bray said. “They’ve got a good team and you can’t take anything away from them.”
Austin’s Kennedy Thompson scored a second period goal and Abby Gallaher scored on an assist on an assist from Carley Grunewald in the third period.
Allison Hoban had 33 saves for Austin.
