Triton (2-11 overall) held Blooming Prairie’s leading scorer in check, but it couldn’t stop all of the Awesome Blossoms, who came away with a 61-45 win in a boys basketball game in BP Tuesday.
While Michael Thomas scored just two points, freshman John Rumpza posted 29 points and 14 rebounds for BP (8-8 overall), which has now won three straight.
“It was good to see the guys working together and running the floor tonight,” BP head coach John Bruns said. “We rebounded the ball well and executed well in the half court by taking what they were giving us.”
BP held Triton to 4-for-27 shooting and 10 points in the first half.
