The Blooming Prairie girls basketball team lost to Waterville-Elysian-Morristown (6-6 overall) 56-44 in Waterville Tuesday.

The Awesome Blossoms (4-8 overall, 4-3 Gopher) fell behind 17-2 to open the game, but crept back to within four points in the second half.

“We just couldn’t get over the hump and then we had to start fouling,” BP head coach John Worke said.

Jenna Krell had 15 points and nine rebounds for BP.
