BP boys can’t hang on in loss to FBA

The Blooming Prairie boys basketball team saw a seven-point halftime lead slip away in a 52-48 loss at Faribault Bethlehem Academy (11-2 overall, 6-0 Gopher) Friday.

The Awesome Blossoms (5-8 overall, 2-4 Gopher) didn’t score in the first eight minutes of the second half.

“It was a tough loss tonight,” BP head coach John Bruns said. “We played our best half of the year, but we hit a dry spell.”

Michael Thomas had 21 points, eight rebounds and five steals for BP and John Rumpza added 18 points, eight rebounds and four blocks.
