Somebody is on Santa’s naughty list this week.

Austin police say several cars have been vandalized over the past couple of days. Police took at least six complaints from people who have had car windows smashed since Dec. 22, according to Lt. John Mueller.

Mueller said the window smashing incidents appear to be random, as people in the southwest, southeast and northeast parts of town are affected. The vandals smash the street-facing windows of cars parked on the street and don’t take anything from inside the car. One car window looked to have been shot through with a BB gun over the weekend.

Police are investigating the incidents. Mueller said residents should report any suspicious behavior they see in the neighborhood.
