A 19-year-old Austin man who assaulted four police officers pleaded guilty Thursday to two charges.
Timothy Andrew Bakke entered the guilty pleas to two counts of assaulting a peace officer; four charges were dismissed.
According to a court complaint, officers were called to Bakke’s residence the evening of Nov. 30 because he reportedly came home drunk and argumentative. Officers attempted to arrest Bakke because he walked away as they searched him.
Bakke reportedly shoved and attempted to kick at least three officers and succeeded in kicking one in the shin. He also attacked an officer in a jail cell after he was booked, according to court documents.
Bakke has a prior fifth-degree assault conviction dated Nov. 18, 2010, according to court documents.
He is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 13, 2012.
