“Minnesota Beatle Project Vol. 3” arrived Tuesday. Minnesota bands such as Tapes ‘n Tapes, Cloud Cult and Motion City Soundtrack contributed to the collection of Beatles covers.

Vega Productions will again donate all net proceeds from the album’s sale to support music and art education in public schools across Minnesota.

Parr wanted to play “Rocky Raccoon” for its ragtimey sound.

“One of my favorite kind of guitar styles is ragtime,” he said. “It’s basically a ragtime song.”

He partnered with Nicholas Mrozinski for the track.

Parr is coming off several large tours this year, including a trip to Australia and another trip to Europe.

He’s taking a break for the holiday season before heading out again, and he’s also releasing another CD this month.
