Austin junior Jenna Svoboda had 22 points and 16 rebounds and senior Babaye Oja added 16 points and nine rebounds as the Packers (1-3 overall, 1-1 Big Nine) outscored AL 35-22 in the second half.

“We came out with much better energy in the second half,” Austin head coach Gary Peterson said. “It’s always a big rivalry game with Albert Lea and sometimes it’s hard to win that first game. We’ve got that now and hopefully that will take us over the hump.”
