Packer dance team overcomes illness in Fridley

The Austin Packer dance team overcame a tough week as it finished first in high kick and second in jazz at the Fridley Invitational Saturday.

The Packers, who dealt with the flu running through the team all week, were just three points short of Fridley in the jazz.
“The day of the event proved to be difficult as well, with three team members unable to attend after becoming ill Saturday morning,” Austin head coach Jen Sims said. “However, the girls responded well to the adversity, adjusting on the day of the event.”
