Lois May Beyer, 85, of Austin, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at Our House Assisted Living in Austin.

She was born June 7, 1926, to Herman and Lillian Beyer. Lois was a homemaker who liked to embroider and enjoyed birds. She also enjoyed greeting visitors to the Twin Towers and spending time with her best friend Lynette, who preceded her in death..

Survivors include her sister, Shirley Berthiaume of Osseo, Minn.; brother, Sherman Beyer of Michigan; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

A memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at the Twin Towers Community Room. Interment will be at a later date.
