Kenneth E. Magee, 79, of Austin, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at Prairie Manor Care Center, Blooming Prairie, Minn.

Kenneth was born Jan. 14, 1932, in Austin, Minn., to Joseph and Emily (Mosier) Magee. He graduated from Austin High School in 1949. He served in the Navy from 1951 to 1955. Kenneth married Patricia Hanson on Nov. 25, 1951, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church.

Kenneth was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Austin Post 91, American Legion and the VFW. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching his children’s and grandchildren’s activities.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Vila and Evelyn.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Patricia Magee, Austin; son and daughter-in-law: Kirk and Jody Magee, Dover, Minn.; daughter: Karen Magee (Cris Rhea), Rochester, Minn.; five grandchildren: Joseph (Megan) Magee, Michael Magee, Katie (Tim) Kane, John Magee, Mary Magee; two great-grandchildren: Colton Magee and Maci Magee; brother, Richard (Darlean) Magee, Austin.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kristi Koppel officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.
