The Hayfield girls basketball team lost at Kenyon-Wanamingo (5-1 overall) 47-38 Tuesday.

The Vikings (1-4 overall) were without sophomore Dani Wagner, who was ill, and they struggled with turnovers.

“We’ve got to find a way to take care of our problems with the ball or it’s going to be a long year,” Hayfield head coach Fred Kindschy said. “Kenyon-Wanamingo is a nice team and they took it to us defensively.”
