Bruins best Aberdeen 2-1

The Austin Bruins locked down on defense as they held off Aberdeen (14-13-2 overall) 2-1 in Riverside Arena Saturday night.

Ilya Arkalov, who is from Moscow Russia, put Austin (15-9-3 overall) up 1-0 in the first period and Michael Bond, who is from Fargo, N.D., scored his first career NAHL goal in the third period to make it 2-0.

Austin goalie Tyler Bruggeman finished with 24 saves for the Bruins.
