Bruggeman stops 48 shots as Bruins knock off Bobcats

Austin goalie Tyler Bruggeman stopped 48 of the 50 shots he saw as the Bruins knocked off first place Bismarck 3-2 in overtime in Riverside Arena Saturday night.

Austin (16-10-3 overall) won the game when Chris Fischer, who is from Apple Valley, scored just 52 seconds into the extra session.

The Bruins took a 3-2 lead in the third period when Brandon Wahlin scored on a powerplay and Bismarck (23-5-1 overall) tied the game when Castan Sommer scored with 4:33 left in the regulation.

Both of the Bobcats goals came on powerplays.
