Zonta Club Vice President Cheryl Retterath, left, and artisan Sue Bray stand next to dozens of wooden roses inside Sterling State Bank last week. The Zonta Club is selling wooden roses as a fundraiser for the next three weeks.

Looking for a unique gift to give a loved one in a nursing home or hospital? How about a ‘thank you’ for a great Thanksgiving meal, or for a special teacher during the holidays? The Zonta Club of Austin may have the answer.

The Austin Zonta Club is having a fundraiser at Sterling State Bank through Nov. 18 by selling wooden rose arrangements. According to Zonta members, the arrangements are made using wooden roses that look so real, you have to touch them to be sure.

The group has small and large arrangements for sale, or you can pick up one or a dozen roses with your choice of colors.
