The Forte Milers Barbershop Chorus is looking for local talent.
The group is inviting all men in the area who enjoy singing to join them for their first Christmas Chorus rehearsal at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21 at the American Legion in Adams. The rehearsals will continue on the following two Mondays, Nov. 28 and Dec. 5.
The Christmas Barbershop Chorus will present its annual Christmas Concert at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar. One addition to the chorus’ schedule this year is that it will present several short Christmas programs at nursing homes in the area.
The Christmas Barbershop Chorus is one of the highlights of the year for the Forte Milers Chorus, which is part of the Barbershop Harmony Society, the largest men’s choral organization in the world. The Forte Milers Chorus includes members from southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa. The Christmas Barbershop Chorus is an opportunity for all men in the area to experience four-part harmony on familiar Christmas songs.
