Nadine “Tena” (Tune) Smith, 78, of Muldrow, Okla., passed away peacefully at Sparks Hospice Care at Fort Smith, Ark., on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, following a short illness.

Nadine, daughter of Mildred and Irwin Baldus of Austin, Minn., was born Feb. 18, 1933. She grew up in the Austin/Grand Meadow area.

She married Arnold E. Tune on Oct. 18, 1950. They had four children. The family moved to Kasson, Minn., in 1965.

Nadine was a homemaker and drove a school bus in the Kasson area. Her interests were camping and embroidery. After Arnold ’s death in 1985, Nadine married Ed Smith on Jan. 17,1986. They resided in Muldrow, Okla.

Nadine is survived by her husband, Ed Smith of Muldrow, Okla.; three sons, Arnold Richard of Kasson, Donald E. (Ginger) of Faribault, David Jay of Mantorville and a daughter, Bonnie Marie of Stewartville; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a sister, Pat Sawyer of Goodland, Kan.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; mother; father and brother.

Memorial will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at the Mantorville Senior Citizen Center, 601 Clay Street Mantorville, MN 55955.

Officiating Pastor will be Marie Anderson. Interment will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery Kasson.
