Join Our Improved Action Alert Network:  Sign up For Capwiz!

The Arc Minnesota is pleased to announce that in mid-November, we will implement the Internet program Capwiz to strengthen our public policy and communication efforts.

Capwiz will power our website’s Legislative Action Center; increase our ability to rapidly communicate with our members, legislators, and the media; and replace our current action alert network.  Capwiz will allow you to easily respond to action alerts and allow us to target our emails by legislative districts.

Email newsletter signup

In addition, it will also allow you to receive other valuable information from The Arc Minnesota.

In order for Capwiz to be effective, we need to have not only your email address but your home address as well.  To sign up for Capwiz, go to  http://capwiz.com/thearc/mn/mlm/signup.  If you have signed up for CapWiz before, you will need to sign up again.

2012 by 2012: Our Capwiz sign up campaign slogan is “2012 by 2012.”  We need 2012 members and supporters of The Arc Minnesota to sign up by 2012 if we are going to continue to be effective at the Legislature.

To encourage you to sign up, we will give away five free tickets to The Arc Minnesota’s 2012 Public Policy Recognition Event.   Sign up by Saturday, and you will be eligible for a drawing for these tickets.

Chapters of The Arc Minnesota will also have an opportunity to win a prize for getting their members to sign up for Capwiz.  For the chapter that signs up the highest percentage of their members by Jan. 1, 2012, our public policy director Steve Larson will provide up to 20 box lunches for self-advocates from that chapter that attend our 2012 Day at the Capitol on Feb. 2. Lunch for all other attendees will otherwise be on their own that day.  Chapters will receive monthly reports through January on the number of their members who have signed up.
