Shamrocks fall to Stewartville

The Pacelli girls tennis team closed out its season with a 7-0 loss to Stewartville at Paulson tennis courts Monday.

Pacelli freshman Maggie Leif put up a good effort at No. 2 singles, but she fell by scores of 6-2, 6-2.

“The girls have faced a lot of adversity this year,” Pacelli head coach Mark Henderson said. “We gave it everything we had today, and we will do the same in the postseason. I haven’t been able to fault our effort yet, and you can’t ask for more as a coach.”

The Shamrocks will travel to Winona Cotter to open Section tournament play Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
